A retired partner, Bert previously served as the firm Director of Accounting and Auditing and Director of Quality Control.  He has provided audit, tax and consulting services to clients in a broad range of industries for over 40 years, both in Kansas and Oklahoma.

Bert currently serves on the Oversight Task Force of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Peer Review Board. He previously served as a member of the Peer Review Board and as former Chair of the Standards Task Force and Chair of the Oversight Task Force. The AICPA Peer Review Board is charged with monitoring audit quality for enrolled firms. Bert served on the Kansas Society of CPA’s Peer Review Committee for several years, including serving as chair. He currently serves as a Technical Reviewer for the Kansas Society of CPAs (KSCPA) and has also served on the Board of Directors of the KSCPA. Bert recently served on the AICPA Joint Trial Board, a board charged with hearing cases related to violations of professional standards, including serving as Chair and Vice-Chair.

Community activities include serving on the Board of Directors of Envision, Inc. and as a past President and Board Member for the Wichita Independent Business Association. In 1997, Bert was named the Accountant Advocate of the Year for SBA Region VII by the U. S. Small Business Administration.
